Basic Candle Making Class

Time: 9:30 AM (runs 5-7 hours) Please Note: Our classes are on a tight schedule and will start promptly, so allow sufficient travel time. We do not suggest making other plans for the afternoon after the class since classes often do not finish on schedule.

Description: This class is an introduction to candle making and covers all information needed to start. Aside from theory, everyone attending will make a scented votive, scented floating candle, and a scented pillar candle to take home. Those attending will also take home the votive mold, floater mold, and pillar mold used in the class to get them started. Please note: this is an informal, hands on, type of class designed to be fun as well as informative.

Class size is kept small so book early to reserve your spot.

Please Note: These classes teach how to make paraffin candles - we do not use or teach with soy wax.

Prerequisites: None. No prior candle making experience is needed.

Required: Closed shoes (no sandals - no exceptions). Lightweight long sleeve clothing is suggested in case of wax splashes. Please note that our candle workshop is usually very warm. Wearing old clothes or work clothes is suggested. Minimum age 14 years if accompanied by parent or guardian, otherwise 18 years.

IMPORTANT PLEASE NOTE - Due to the expense of offering classes, this class will be cancelled if we do not have a minimum of 4 students booked by January 3, 2010

Sign Up: An $85 deposit is required to reserve space in this class. A full refund of deposit will be given if you cancel by noon 1/2/10. Cancellations after that are not refundable unless we can fill your space. Deposit may be paid by Cash, Money Order, Visa, MC, AMEX, or Discover. Balance is due before class begins on day of the class.
